Preamble
22 Yards: The Cricket Club at UMBC shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the University of Maryland Baltimore County's Student Government Association (SGA), as well as to the President of the University and his/her designees.
Article I - Name:
The name of the organization will be "22 Yards: The Cricket Club at UMBC" hereafter referred to as the Cricket Club.
Article II - Purpose:
The Cricket Club is established for the expressed purpose of providing a focal point for the promotion and enjoyment of the sport of cricket.
Article III - Qualifications for Membership
- Section A
- Membership is open to any enrolled university student, faculty, staff, or alumni who is interested in cricket.
- Section B
- Membership to the Cricket Club may not be denied because of race, color, age, sex, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, disabled veteran or veteran, national origin, or religion.
Article IV - Officers and Elections
- Section A
- The officers of the Cricket Club shall consist of a president, a vice president, a secretary, and a treasurer. These officers comprise the Executive Committee.
- Section B

The duties of the officers shall be as follows:
- The President shall preside at all meetings of the Cricket Club. He/she shall maintain the power of appointing all club officers and be responsible for the organization of all club events.
- The Vice President shall represent the Cricket Club in all SGA meetings. S/he shall preside at all meetings and events that the President cannot attend.
- The Secretary shall be responsible for observance of rules during meetings, minutes of the meeting, adherence to other protocol, and new-members and membership related issues. In partnership with the Treasurer, the Secretary shall also be responsible for maintenance of the club website.
- The Treasurer shall handle all dues, accounts, finances, and funding. In addition, the Treasurer shall also be responsible for maintenance of the club website in partnership with the Secretary.
