Scores:

Warriors 186/8 (39.4 overs)

Summary:

Warriors won the toss and elected to field first. UMBC lost the opener Eraj rather quickly for duck due to poor decision from the umpire and umbc needed to steady the innings after the early loss. Anand and Raghav did just that with 44 run partnership before Raghav was victim of another bad decision that went against UMBC. From then on Sumeet played a gem of an innings making 62 which included partnerships with chirag and rikin to take the score to fighting total of 185 from 39.3 overs.

Warriors started shakily with 2 quick wickets making them 17/2 from 4.3 overs. After that, Thillai and Vijay steadied the innings with a 59 run partnership which was broken finally by Raghav who bowled Thillai. After that Vijay kept their innings together with a brilliant 50 only to give catch to chintan at point who took a sharp catch to tilt the balance of the game in UMBC's favor at that time. On the other end Kunal was keeping their hopes alive with a steady innings and rest of the warriors team batted around Kunal to give them the edge. When the game came down to the final 3 overs, unfortunate sets of events took place in which umpire committed the biggest blunder by telling UMBC that the batting powerplay had ended, while in fact only 2 overs were bowled into the powerplay. The very next ball after UMBC spread the field, Kunal got caught in the deep. After giving him out initially, Umpire realized that he had committed a mistake and allowed the batsman to continue batting which was very unfortunate because this mistake came at a crucial stage which allowed their set batsman to continue when they required 18 off 18 balls and eventually led them to victory and UMBC lost a close game by 2 wickets.
