The match was very close to been called off since it was raining very hard, but it eventually started with 38 overs a side. Given the conditions, Chantilly won the toss and decided to bowl first. UMBC changed their batting order by sending in Sumeet and Chirag opening to see off the swinging new ball. After a steady partnership of 36 from the first 9 overs, openers departed in successive overs. Anand and Raghav made a solid partnership of 43 runs giving the team much needed boost and set the platform for the middle order to have a go at the bowling in the final overs. Rikin played an outstanding knock of 56 off just 24 balls which skyrocketed the score for UMBC from a fighting 150 to a match-wining 182 from 38 overs.

Chantilly started off shakily as their opening batsman departed off a beauty from Faisel which took the middle stump. Mohan and Ashwin were the only ones that made noticeable contribution to their team total with 31 and 37 respectively while wickets kept falling at regular intervals. A special mention needs to be made for Gurnish, who took an outstanding catch to dismiss Shiva. Everyone chipped in with wickets with Faisel being the most economical off them all.

In the end UMBC finished their third consecutive victory as Chantilly lost by 24 runs.
