WCC won the toss and elected to bat first. Sumeet got the early breakthrough in the first over to get the opening batsman out for duck. But after that it was hard work for UMBC as the second wicket fell close to the 20th over. There were many steady performances from the WCC team as Kalyan and Manish both got 50 for their team.

UMBC started off good with opening partnership of 50. Eraj starred with a solid 58 but unfortunately his run out was the turning point in the game. Faisel and Chirag tried to review the innings with a 50 run partnership, but the score to chase ended up being too much for UMBC to chase in the end and UMBC got all out for 188.
