UMBC won the toss and elected to field first. Austin bowled well and picked up 3 wickets in his first spell of 4 overs putting the Trindies team on backfoot right away. Wickets kept falling but the extras kept on mounting outscoring their top scorer Ron from Trindies team who played a lone hand of 26. In the end Trindies could only manage 125 out of which 55 were extras, before they were bowled out in 37th over. Gurnish was in thick of action with 4 catches and 2 wickets.

UMBC openers Eraj and Surya gave a good start of 80+ runs in which Eraj blasted the Trindies bowlers for 4 sixes and took the game away from them single handedly. Surya gave good support with his 18 and after the openers departed, it was only formalities for the rest to finish off a comprehensive victory by 8 wickets in just 24.1 overs.
