Yesterday we discussed the possibility of contacting the other team for a 10 am game instead of 12 pm start.
I am not sure whether its even possible, but committee will try to get in touch with the other team and see if it can be done. But before we do that, i wanted to ask our team members if they would prefer a 10 am start instead of noon start.
I personally would prefer 10 am start if we could. Please post your views.
An early start for our home games is not possible. A hard tennis-ball competition goes on till 11 11:15. They have the permit to use the ground till that time. So the earliest we can start for our home games is 11:30. It is not worth taking the pain to contact WMCB, umpire, the other team, etc just to start 30 minutes early.

Great job guys ! It was a hard-fought win. We bowled and fielded really well.
Great bowling by Gurnish (4 wickets, missed a trophy because someone dropped a catch ;) ), Sumeet (was as economical as McGrath, 8 odd runs in his entire spell), Ranga (3 wickets) and Chintan (surprise package taking 2 wickets, fooled the batsmen by his run-up and was helped by some excellent catching at the boundary ;) ) We bowled them out for 120 while defending 141.
Good second wicket partnership between Sumeet (18) and Eraj (34). Chirag played the anchor's role with a solid 20. Others batted around him and we ended up with 141 in 37 odd overs.
dont be jealous faiselbhai just because u get smashed for big sixes....and its funny how u called the other team stupid coz that's wat one of their batsman called me when i appealed for LBW when i was bowling......but our punjab/delhi ka sher fought back for his president :)

Eraj when we are in the field, there is no one for us scoring, so we have to depend on the other team. The scorecard we have up here is what we got from windies team at the end of the game.
Ofcourse if its something like five wickets, we will have the record for sure...and during batting we will always have someone from our team scoring....so we wont miss out on trophies....so dont worry about that...;) ;)....but my response was to your complain about you taking catch off sumeet bowling and not ranga.
btw..you are the secretary eraj...;);) so please copy the scorecard from the other team next time after the game ;);) after all its secretary's job to do so...heheh

Our fielding and bowling is what won this match.
Balaji, Wilbur, Eraj(2 catches), Ranga, Anand and Chirag all took catches that kept pressure on Windies batsmen. Basically CATCHES WIN MATCHES!!
Gurnish took 4 wickets, Ranga took 2, Chintan took 2.
Chintan was the surprise talent in this match. He bowled beautifully breaking the good partnership that Windies had going on.
Gurnish's bowling was SHEER PACE. good job man!
Somebody else can update this or w/e. I think Chirag will.

BTW, Patel dont you ever compare Sumeet to Mcgrath. Even on his worse day, McGrath will be a million times better than our Hitler aka captain.
