WCC won the toss and elected to bat first. Faisel and Suchit bowled an excellent opening spell restricting them to 25 runs in first 10 overs with Suchit cleaning up the opening batsman with a beautiful in-swinger. Next 10 overs belonged to WCC who upped their scoring rate accumulating 61 runs taking the tally to 86 at the end of 20 overs. UMBC made comeback with the introduction of Sanatan who put the lid on the scoring rate and chipping away with wickets at regular intervals. Sanatan ended up with career best figures of 5 wickets.
UMBC Cricket Club has been ranked third by the American College Cricket in its National Rankings of the College Cricket clubs that participated in the 2010 ACC T20 Championship last March.

UMBC captain Sumeet Chordiya discusses his team's semifinal defeat to York College on the final day of the American College Cricket Spring Break Championship. Chordiya top scored with 60 opening for UMBC as they fell short of their target of 133.
